Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We make small glass aquariums with live plants and tiny creatures, a fully functional ecosystem in miniature. They are perfect for office environments, homes, businesses or school classrooms. No lights, heaters or filters are required and very little maintenance. We grow our own aquatic plants and make many types of MicroPonds from sizes under 1 litre to large showpieces, using laboratory glassware, vases, preserving jars or special requests.

We want to send a strong sustainability message both in our business operations and also using the aquariums as education and awareness tools to promote sustainability and environmental issues around river systems, water quality and ecosystems. We also want to use this as an opportunity to explain the science behind the miniature aquariums including nutrient and carbon cycles, pollution and animal life cycles and how this relates to real-world issues in river systems and other water-based ecosystems.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• The logo will be our formal business logo and needs to be suitable for our future website, profile picture for our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MicroPonds), business cards, brochures, letterheads and product labels.

Schön zu haben

• It would be nice to include the tag line "miniature desktop aquariums" if it can be made to look good.
  
  There is a real science in creating a fully functioning ecosystem which is in balance and requires virtually no maintenance. We also like experimenting and being creative by making specialised and custom miniature aquariums using other types of glassware, plant species, planting arrangements and wood/stone features which can be become art pieces in their own right. The aesthetic quality of our products is as important as the ecosystem health, and therefore it's desirable that the logo represents a cross-over between art and science.
  
  We will consider anything that is engaging, alternative, interesting, attractive and reflects the values of our business.

Sollte nicht haben

• We are open-minded about what our logo could look like and are not necessarily after a mainstream 'big business' corporate look.
