Our business is new/launching in the coming weeks (as soon as our logo is ready). We are a husband and wife team offering domestic cleaning / housekeeping services and other extension services (running errands, assisting with hosting dinner parties, waiting for tradespeople, doing shopping, doing hard-work end of rental lease cleans, etc). We do not intend to do any commercial cleaning. The business name sounds quite formal so we need a logo to make it friendly and community-focused.

Attached is a mood-board image of our early ideas - but we are not designers so only be guided by our suggestions and provide us with your own magic ideas. (We prefer real-life characters instead of character-houses - now that we have seen both).

***We have also attached an image of one of our favourite logos (Hubby's in the dog house) - this is the level of cartoon detail and richness of colour we are after for the logo.

We want a logo that expresses a friendly professional service - a little quirky - but something the Australian market would be comfortable with - nothing too formal - not your run of the mill boring cleaning services - we offer personality as well as great service.

Our business name is "Domestic Directors".
We both have pony-tails (me brunette and my husband a golden-ginger (red head).

Our colour preferences are strong blue - mango-gold - emerald green - silver-grey - white and black. Logo must also look great when all white on dark background and all black on light background for overlaying on website slider images.

We will be using the logo for business cards, website, brochures and for embroidery work on our uniform shirts and caps - so the design must look great at different sizes including embroidered at 7cm-9cm square/rectangle including words Domestic Directors - not sure if we will need a tagline - depends on final design. We are open to font styles - but they must look polished and crisp for embroidery, small and large (e.g. car magnetic signage).

We want to get across trust, professionalism, dedication, willingness and friendliness - we will rely a lot on referrals and word-of-mouth marketing based on our logo/marketing as much as our service.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• Personality - we are a husband and wife team - two characters representing the two of us (we both have long-hair we wear in a pony-tail). We're after something a little quirky/funky/fun that people will talk about with bright colours in blue, mango-gold, emerald green, grey/silver and black - like a cartoon so it is sharp - not just blue and grey like the usual cleaning industry logos.
• The design will have to embroider nicely on shirts/caps (so needs to work well in a smaller size about 7-9cm square/rectangular)
