Author Jade Phillips is in need of outstanding, mind-blowing, unique, and eye-catching book covers for a paranormal romance series, called Unfortunate Souls. Initially we will only be asking for a design for the first book stated at the current price. Book 1: Unfortunate Souls. Once a winner is picked, the rest of the series will be negotiated (up to five more books. Possibly more.) The titles will be as following. Unfortunate Souls, Broken Souls, Desperate Souls, etc. Check out the unofficial description below. And if you would like a better feel for the book, the first five chapters have been attached as a document for your reading pleasure. :)In the hot and unforgiving Arizona desert, seventeen-year old Ruby Carter finds herself in the most impossible of situations. When her boyfriend of ten years breaks up with her, she takes off into a storm, crashes her car, and dies. But then again, does she really? She is awaken during a battle and has been bitten. By a vampire. That's when young Captain Guy Stone finds her. Going against everything he's been taught and trained for, he saves her from being killed by his men. She is still human after all. And a beautiful young girl at that. How could he bring himself to kill her?Ruby and Guy's tale is one of trials and torture, love and loss, but most of all, accepting one's own death. Will Guy safely see Ruby through her transformation to being a vampire? Will Ruby accept the immortal life that has ben thrust upon her? And will the two be able to part when the time comes, going off in their rightful positions, as enemies?Along with the author's name: Jade Phillips, and the book title, a tag-line shall be on the cover as well.Book 1: Unfortunate Souls, will have the tag-line "Do you know what dying feels like?"Images have been attached of book covers or art that speak to the author in her same genre. If human models are used on the cover, the author would prefer them to be smaller and farther away. But models are not imperative. If people are used, no bare-chested men that normally adorn adult romance covers. This series is guided for a young adult audience and must be done tastefully and fantastically, keeping a gothic, romantic feel. Basically the author seeks award-winning best-selling covers that are different and eye-catching, keeping the series covers similar for branding purposes. Think "series" and create a cover that can have a running theme. Have fun with this and most importantly, think outside of the box!!!*Note about character description. If model is used for Ruby, she is a young female aged 17 and has long white-blonde hair. Her eyes are violet-purple. The author prefers not to have a model for the male character at this point. And doesn't particularly care if a model is used as long as the design is striking.

• Other than that, there are no must-haves but some ideas are...*Think magical, mystical, dreamy, romantic. *A close-up of a tombstone with the title engraved on it? Fog? Smoke? Maybe a flower at the bottom? Ivy? Vines?*Or anything with withering branches, moons, birds.*This story is set in the desert, so maybe desert scenery? But beautifully morbid?*If a model is used, one in distress, arms wrapped around knees? Suffering? If model is used, must have enough different shots of her to fill out an entire book series of six or possibly more.* I actually designed the wren evermore covers for myself. (attached) I love the whole broken up pictures idea. But I just can't seem to get it right. LOL. :D
