Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a corporate logo for my television engineering design firm. The company specializes in high end broadcast engineering research and development. We design and integrate complex media systems for the broadcast and cable tv market. solutions are generally a mix of hardware, software and custom middleware that makes it all work together.
I would like to capture themes of complexity and simplicity, order and chaos within the design. I also want to show a system, a beginning and an end, a cause and effect within the design.
Contraption implies sloppiness to some, to me it is complication brought under control.
Taking Rube Goldberg to Rolex.
I like colorful 3D designs, but I can also do bold simple and flat.
I like bold simple typefaces sans serif.
