Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

New web-based start-up company called GamesGypsy (gamesgypsy.com) needs a simple but impactful logo design. Will be viewed and used by FORTUNE 50 COMPANIES - OLYMPIC SPONSORS!!!! HIGH PROFILE LOGO!!!

GamesGypsy is a social/professional networking tool for people who work on Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games etc. It will allow them to find jobs and people around the world by creating connections with sport companies such as sponsors, broadcasters and organising committees i.e. Rio 2016.

I would like the colours used to be similar to the Olympic Rings however please do not copy the Olympic Rings in any way as there are strict trademark protections around the Olympic Rings.

It should comprise of two pieces - the logo image and the font for the business name.

To explain the name: "Games" refers to all of the events that people work on such as Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Euro Games, Commonwealth, PanAm, etc. "Gypsy" is a term we use in the industry to describe people who move countries to work Games to Games. The dictionary describes a gypsy as "free-spirited nomad".

Words to inspire you in your design are: global, sport, people, connect, move, nomad, cyclical . The design should be clean, simple, unfussy and clever.

IDEAS FOR CONCEPTS:
- caricature ideas of a person travelling with a suitcase or something that represents travel but all in Olympic colours.
- Use of the 'infinity' symbol with the company name entwined - see examples
- conceptual design depicting 'connection
- a postmark idea in simple black and white would be interesting!

As the business is an online business, the logo should be able to stand alone as in its short-form "GamesGypsy" or include the full URL I.e. "GamesGypsy.com"

The target market is people who are looking for jobs on the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, FIFA World Cups etc. They are travellers and move all around the world to work like nomads or 'gypsy's.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• Same colours as the Olympic rings or variations.

Schön zu haben

• Might be a character based logo of a person or people who are travelling. Might somehow show people "connecting". Maybe its just the name of the company GamesGypsy but there are design elements in the letters that show what the company is about.

Sollte nicht haben

• Should not replicate the Olympic Rings in any way. Should not replicate the Olympic torch. Should not depict gypsy in a negative way.
