Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Background information:

Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments is seeking a logo for its inaugural State of the Region project, which is a yearlong endeavor highlighting trends, assets, connections, and resources in the Benton, Lincoln, and Linn County region of Western Oregon, related to: healthcare and human services; food and agriculture; land use and transportation; and economic development. The report will be a unique snapshot of where the region has been, where it is today, and what possibilities are coming.

Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments is a local-government agency that provides senior and disability services, community planning, technology services, and other services to member governments throughout this vast, vibrant, and diverse region. (See www.OCWCOG.org for more details).

The State of the Region effort will include a report, a multi-media presentation, and an interactive website, and will culminate in a summit in fall 2015 inviting stakeholders, community members, business leaders, and elected officials throughout the region.

A professional logo will help ensure a cohesive brand identity and a high level of professionalism for work products, public outreach materials, the project’s online presence, etc.

Logo Request:

The logo should feature a sleek, simple, bold, and clean design so when it is scaled down to be used on printed materials, for example, its readability is not diminished. It should be in a round or horizontal shape.

Dark blue is the preferred color and would work well when paired with logos of our associated agencies/programs. The RGB color codes for the blue that should be used are: 8 41 165.

Emerging concepts that should be considered for inclusion in the logo include: Connectivity, motion, and the sense of cohesion between our three counties (for example, linkages via roadways, economic flow, geography, etc.). Some top employment sectors include high-tech, forestry, fishing, health care, education, and manufacturing.
