Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo design for a startup company called "Western World Technology" - with world class technology regarding coal to liquids (CTL) and natural gas to liquids (GTL), that takes those resources and creates refined products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel. I am willing to consider anything memorable; use either Western World or WW (not Western World Technology)or no letters at all in the logo since the name is long; I do have a general idea for a drop of water or a teardrop coming out of a rock or piece of coal, but I am willing to consider anything immediately recognizable/memorable.

This will become a big company so I am looking for sense of stability and staying power. Preferred colors of a rich red, maybe halfway between a primary red and a burgundy (I'm not much of an artist) and black.
