Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for a new film production company based in London called "Blue Whale Films".

Blue Whale Films will be producing films in all genres from documentaries and commercials to most importantly; feature films. For us the name triggers the following feelings, which we'd like to communicate in our logo:

Blue - ocean, limitless possibilities...
Whale - Aweinspiring grand historic animal which has a weight without being harsh (like a shark for example)
Films - Well thats pretty straightforward

We are big believers in 'less is more'. The logo needs to be simple and yet elegant. Something that belongs on the big screen.

We think that navy is a beautiful colour. We are not big fans of cartoonish styles. Simple outlines, or macro details on the other hand (such as a lone tail) might works nicely, though please do not limit yourselves.

Our dream is to one day make Oscar-worthy feature films, which is perhaps where the weight of the Whale comes in.

Wouldn't it be nice if it came through...
