Hi 86Ideas!

A few questions:

1. What made you choose the number 86? Any special significance to this number we should be aware of?

2. The scope of your business is broad, with that you'd indeed want a neutral logo (like a word mark or letter mark).
Are you looking for a word mark (name represented in certain way) or do you wish to see some form of icon as well?

the 86 comes from term, e.g. 86 that guy... I have a lot of ideas that I want to turn into a business and each one will most likely get a DBA but everything will be under the 86 ideas flagship. I apologize for my ignorance but word mark and letter mark are somewhat confusing to me. If that means having the 86 in the logo i might be ok with it if its a great design. An icon is interesting to me especially since I have an app idea for a later date. But if it could be a fun, yet professional logo that would be ideal. Also a big fan of copperplate gothic and big gothic type. I had an idea at one point point for 3 circles showing the 8 and bottom of the 6 with a slash for the top of the 6. essentially it would be a snowman with an extra o to the right and 45 degree angel out from the middle. Not sure if thats a great ideas or not until i see it. Just a thought. Looking for help as I am not an artist, This is the second time I have used Design crowd. The first time I was very pleased. Looking forward to what the ideas are. 

Good Morning gang! woke up to see quite a variety of designs. There are a few that I think are on the right track but they are missing the all important logo to go with the name.

I see a lot of great designs this morning. I am trying to stay on top of getting feedback to everyone but a recurring theme has been apart of my feedback this morning. I want to make sure that when someone who sees the name or logo for the first time, doesn't think its just a 6 or an 8 or not sure what the name is. While those are very creative and neat, as a business I dont feel they work. It is very important to me that the branding "logo, and name" whether it be "logo-86 ideas" or "logo-Ideas" comes across the very first time and every time.
