logo/branding for Upholsterer & Chair Designer

Hier ist was Different Chairs [creative comfort] suchte für sein logo design.

Different Chairs is a new business in Newcastle, Australia primarily reupholstering furniture but with a view to manufacturing own chairs in the future. The name different chairs is from the Christopher Alexander book 'A Pattern Language' and refers to pattern #251, an except of which reads

"A setting that is full of chairs, all slightly different, immediately creates an atmosphere which supports rich experience; a setting which contains chairs that are all alike puts a subtle straight jacket on experience."

Different chairs needs a logo that can be used in both print and digital applications, ie business card, blog and website. The logo will communicate a sense of rich and individual experience. The chairs I will be manufacturing are retro in style so a retro-ish flavour would be okay.
