Dear Designers,

Thanks for your submissions, and for your time spent on this. Unfortunately none of the designs so far are quite what I'm looking for, though 2 or 3 may be on the right track. I should have been clearer about our needs, and relayed that better to Michael. So let's go over what they are.

What's wrong with our current logo?

First, I have no files to work with that I can blow up, shrink down, change color of, etc. All I have is a scan of our Bicycle Friendly decal, and a tiny graphic pulled from our old website. I've tried to clean these up and convert them to vector graphics, without much success.

Second, I am not concerned that it looks dated. As far as that goes, it's a simple, classic design that communicates well what we're about. It would be OK on letterhead, or embroidered on a shirt - fine for the age of print.
