Nonprofit name change, new logo needed

Hier ist was "Canopi" or "CANOPI" suchte für sein logo design.

We are a 6-year-old nonprofit working in Costa Rica to provide support to various sectors including education and religion. Formerly named CRSSM, Inc., we are now CANOPI. While the new name is an acronym, that portion can be added to the logo later. Canopi is a variation of the word canopy, which means the same in both English and Spanish, bringing to mind a canopy tree, and implying a covering or protective shield, which is how our organization is seen by those whom we serve.

We are looking for a simple logo that is image or icon based (as opposed to geometric or alphabetic shapes). We prefer colors (but black and white versions will also be needed in the final files). We prefer round or square shapes for the overall logo. The finished product will include the unique image design with the name Canopi (or CANOPI) beside it, as well as a rendition of just the image without the name; so the image needs to be strong enough to convey without the name.
