CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION: Baby Crawling on DNA Reaching Forward

Hier ist was SLC6A1 KiDS: Reaching a Cure Genetic Epilepsy suchte für sein logo design.

MAIN TASK: Improve the design of the crawling baby reaching forward.

I prefer the style/weight of "Child Version 1" in my mockup, but the child needs to be reaching forward, and the outline needs to be smoothed.

"Child Version 2" in my mockup is reaching forward nicely, but the design is too heavy, and the face does not have distinctive facial features.

The illustration is for use in an icon of a baby crawling along a DNA shape and reaching out for help. The reaching is also aspirational, symbolising reaching towards a cure, and the hope for the child's future develpoment.

I am not a designer, but I have provided a couple of mockups for inspiration - see attached files. The attached PSD file contains two layers with different mockups of the child (Version 2 where the child is reaching, and Version 1 where the child is not). The child must be reaching forward in the final design.
