VÄSTER- Boat name and logo

Hier ist was VÄSTER suchte für sein logo design.

We are creating a logo for our sailing catamaran. It’s going to be a blue boat (think Porsche’s color Voodoo blue) with black accents and sails.
We are wanting the design to be the Nordic compass and it will be displayed on the front side of both hulls along with the boat name: “VÄSTER”-which means to go west in Swedish. We would love to incorporate the sun/sunset into the logo somehow with a splash of yellow/orange to both represent the direction of west and the sunset, and representing my Swedish heritage by adding that pop of color.
We’re a little torn on this however, as we also want it to be simple and straight forward. Mehr lesen
