New Logo for Technology company

Hier ist was ein Geschäft in Australia für sein logo design vorgenommen hatte.

Need a new logo for a TECHNOLOGY company. We deal primarily with lasers and infrared systems, therefore require a logo that represents the emission of focused light (laser) as well as the detection/receiving of light (infrared).
Requirements:
- Colour scheme must contain Black and Red
- Logo must be simple
- Logo must be the main element, supporting the company name (LRM Technologies)

UPDATE:
Have added some concepts - very basic - to show some ideas of a focused laser beam and energy being received.

Also added some concepts of how these could come together - the gap shown can represent the laser cutting/marking and also serves to separate the concepts.
