Corporate logo - technology competitive research firm

I need a logo for a boutique management consulting firm based in San Francisco that specializes in researching competitors, analyzing data, and developing white papers. These are the key concepts: information technology (target clients are large IT vendors such as Microsoft and Oracle), market research, data analysis, competitive research). The logo should be simple, not flashy but eye-catching and elegant. I think I prefer a logo that is just the company name (no pictures) but a simple graphic such as in the attached logo is a good option. The word "Dao" is a Chinese word, an alternative spelling of the word "Tao", which means "the way", or "path", and is related to the Taoist philosophy.
