Logo for the Los Angeles Association of Professional Landmen

We would like to create a new Logo for the Los Angeles Association of Professional Landmen (www.LAAPL.com). We would like to look at the options of the shorten abbreviation of LAAPL in the Logo also possibly written out. We are looking for anything modern dealing with Los Angeles and Oil and Gas, i.e. Oil rigs, pump jacks, Oil, Gas, LA Skyline, energy industry. We are still in debate of whether we were thinking about having a full color logo, but was also interested in B&W.. Both these options would be beneficial to our association as we do print in B&W. We are mainly looking for a logo, but a banner in the same style would prove useful as well. Attached is our current logo.
