Digital Signature Startup "Hancock" needs a logo design.

We need a logo for a new company that makes it easy to do electronic signatures online; the company name is "Hancock" and the domain will be hancock.ink.

The name of the company is derived from John Hancock, he was the first to sign the United States Declaration of Independence and is known for his distinctive signature.

As for what I am looking for:
*) I have a tendency to like logos with symbols / marks in them but I will consider logos not like this.
*) Style wise (of the competitors) the user interface will be more like Hellosign and less like their more corporate alternatives.
*) My design preference is for sparse things / less is more.
