Gastro Pub / restaurant logo design (start of full brand identity project)

Hier ist was ein Geschäft in New Zealand für sein print design vorgenommen hatte.

We have purchased a run down country pub/bar that is in a fantastic market village called MATAKANA near Auckland in New Zealand. The village has become very popular as a food and wine destination but the old pub (103 year old building) is very tired, shabby and the service and food are below the standards expected by most visitors and locals alike.

We have decided to leverage the well known name of the village and call the pub "The Matakana" so we need a logo and font set design that communicates the new brand effectively.

As new owners we are planning to spend quite a bit of money on renovating the building to bring it back to its former glory and modernise the bar, kitchen, garden and toilet facilities.

We are also planning to revamp the menu and focus on training the staff on friendly and attentive service. We want to make the pub the heart of the village and to be a friendly, cosy, welcoming and stylish place to hang out.
