Forearm Leaf Band Botantical Tattoo That Honors Where I Come From: A Tribute to My Selu Roots

I’m looking for a tattoo that centers around my grandfather’s signature of our family name, Selu, which is my maiden name and holds so much meaning for me. I’d love for this signature to flow naturally with other elements that honor my Samoan and Hawaiian roots.
Since my middle name is Maile, after the sacred Maile vine in Hawaii, I picture the vine gently wrapping around my forearm, creating a soft, partial band. I’d also love some Samoan tatau-inspired patterns along the vine, subtle and woven in, along with maybe a few plumeria flowers or gentle wave elements to capture that island vibe. I would love to see some botanical elements in the design.
I picture this tattoo mostly in black and gray for a simple, elegant look but would be open to little pops of color—maybe on the flowers or leaves, just to make it unique and meaningful.
