Large online photo magazine needs redesign

Hier ist was ein Geschäft in New Zealand für sein web design vorgenommen hatte.

We have previously digitised a historical photographic magazine of around 20,000 printed pages and made it available online. The magazine ran up to the early 1970s, and the content is largely black and white photographs of local events, accompanied by short captions.

Although the content is very rich, the design needs to be revisited so that:
* it is visually appealing
* it is responsive (i.e. works in browsers across all manner of devices)
* is faithful to the nature of the content

There are only a few core page types, and the central one is the article page, an example of which can be seen at:

Any design submitted should be based on the treatment of an article page such as the above.

Given the large number of pages on our site, we need a design which can be templated to work for any content in the collection, i.e. we cannot hand-craft our templates to match a giv… Mehr lesen
