Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo for a large Christian congregation in Pittsburgh, PA. Our church is vibrant, growing and includes active members of all ages. We are seeking a more nontraditional logo i.e. trying to get away from the mundane steeple. We would like our logo to be noticed first for it representing either the people who make up our church, or the growing and outreach that we hope to continue in our community. We would like a faith aspect worked into the logo, in a subtle creative way. We are also open to the initials of the church (rather than the whole name) being incorporated into the design, although the design image needs to be both strong and distinctive enough to stand on its own. This logo will be used on everything from t shirts to letterhead. We would like it to be useful in color, as well as in gray scale.
****I wanted to add-we are trying to stay away from a logo that mainly focuses on the physical church building. we feel that it is the people the and outreach our church does that we want to be noticed for.
