What is the color scheme you are leaning toward? Do you have a slogan that you use?
What kind of message are you wanting to get across? What kind of audience are you wanting to appeal to? Young adults and youth, young families?? Will you be using this logo on billboards, t-shirts, letterhead, posters? That will help in knowing what direction I could start designing.

we really don''t have a particular color scheme.  we could like to have a logo that can be in color, but would work in gray/black/white also.  we are working on a new slogan, but we don''t have it yet.  we are trying to get across a message of growth, outreach, and that the focus of our church is on the members (trying to stay away from the physical church building in the logo.)   We are making a stronger push in to appeal to young families-but we want something that gram and grandpa would approve of also.  we will not be advertising on billboards, but we will be using it on monthly/weekly publications, t shirts, banners....just to name a few.

oh ya...I had an idea of somehow using 3 profiles of people...maybe a baby, a girl with a pony tail, and then a man? maybe they could be looking toward a cross?   I don''t know if that would work.  or possibly a tree with fingerprints as leaves.  maybe that''s too much detail though?  i''m not an artist :)  I don''t know if any of that would provide a starting point.  any other questions, don''t hesitate to ask.
