Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are a general contractor who has been using the same logo and simple t shirts since the late 90s. We are starting to revamp with higher end clients and want to establish a solid logo to put on all paperwork and clothing and signage. Not entirely sure the final intent we are seeking. something old school but clean, dont want any tacky construction hammers or equipment used within the logo. More likely to accept a variation/ inspiration of the attached old & current MKC logo. A drafted mock up that had appeal in the past is also attached, this mock up is just a sketch and very preliminary.

Logo Text

Main logo is the "MKC". Name of company is McKeown Construction. Versions with phone number and license number will be needed. an additional version without it would be used on clothing.
