Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
Hi, my name is Kerissa and I am beginning my career in theatrical stage management. If you are not familiar with the position, the primary function of a stage manager is to act as the communication hub between departments of a theatre company (Lights, Sound, Props, Costumes, Actors, Directors, Administration, etc.). A stage manager is also responsible for running rehearsals and calling cues during performances to ensure the show runs smoothly. The design I need should somehow convey the skills required to be a great a stage manager: Leadership, communication, organization, handiness, the ability to think on your feet, and a sense of humor!
When I've tried designing my own logos, (though I am no artist!) symbols that really stick out are traditional clipboards and adjustable crescent wrenches. They are probably the two items I use most frequently in theaters, besides my MacBook anyway. Legal pads, post-it notes, stop watches, and three-hole-punches are also part of my world.
I would like to avoid the traditional drama masks in this design, but everything else theatre related is fair game! I would like to keep it pretty crisp and clean, with maybe a splash of blue or green for fun. I am looking for a design that can be used on my business card, and that I can somehow incorporate into my website.
Also, I am flexible on the logo text. "KG Management" is something I've been tossing around, or perhaps just my initials, or no text on the logo at all! However it will fit your concept!
Attached are mostly photos I've taken during rehearsals, and the selfie is, of course, me on my way to rehearsal - just for reference. Good to know who you're dealing with, right?

Thank you to all who have submitted designs so far! It is inspiring to see so many marketable works of art!
It's not too late to submit new designs! I will be keeping the contest open until Thursday and will make a final selection by Saturday.
I have been eliminating designs daily. Most of the designs that are making it through these cuts are using clear fonts and blue and/or green accent colors. Please keep this in mind when submitting new designs. There is a lot of great work going on here, and I cannot wait to see the final product!
