Theatrical Stage Management - Logo Design

Hi, my name is Kerissa and I am beginning my career in theatrical stage management. If you are not familiar with the position, the primary function of a stage manager is to act as the communication hub between departments of a theatre company (Lights, Sound, Props, Costumes, Actors, Directors, Administration, etc.). A stage manager is also responsible for running rehearsals and calling cues during performances to ensure the show runs smoothly. The design I need should somehow convey the skills required to be a great a stage manager: Leadership, communication, organization, handiness, the ability to think on your feet, and a sense of humor!

When I''ve tried designing my own logos, (though I am no artist!) symbols that really stick out are traditional clipboards and adjustable crescent wrenches. They are probably the two items I use most frequently in theaters, besides my MacBook anyway. Legal pads, post-it notes, stop watches, and three-hole-punches are also part of my world… Mehr lesen
