The short answer is: we''re looking for good art - and that includes good cartoon art.

The medium-length answer is: Can a good cartoon "solve the problem" - you bet  it  can.  And what is the "problem" -  challenge really - it''s thumbnail/cover art/illustration/advertising, whatever you want to call it, that induces click-through to sample "the song beneath."  Can a cartoon make that happen really well - absolutely - but it''s got to be a cartoon that fits/is about ...somehow - the song.

And the long answer is (now I''m on the subject): is that a cartoon that is wryly, strikingly, funnily, intelligently, immediately understandably, etc. commentary on the same subject as the song could well work better because it would be incisive, relevant content rather than a mere "cover" etc.

Key things to think about if you''re going to launch an entry:

- most cover art keys to the image of the performer in some way; we''re about THE SONG - key to the song

- there are quadrillions of these thumbnails out there on devices of every kind - simple and different is better and cartoons have an advantage there

- have fun doing it and let that show - the result communicates that in a key subliminal way
